Uzbekistan is gearing up to showcase its leather shoes, textiles, and electrical equipment in 230 Auchan hypermarkets spread across Russia. This promising collaboration follows discussions between Fakhriddin Boboev, Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat association, and Pierre Cardelli, Director of the department of Auchan Retail Russia.

The talks explored the possibility of featuring a diverse array of Uzbek products in Auchan’s extensive retail network in Russia. Key focal points included discussions on an educational program in the commerce sector and the potential creation of Auchan’s sourcing company in Uzbekistan.

This collaboration goes beyond merely placing products on shelves; it sets the stage for future cooperation in various sectors, such as commerce, education, and potentially technology exchange.

Establishing a successful partnership with Auchan’s Russian branch could open doors for Uzbek leather and footwear enterprises to connect with the broader European network of the corporation.

Auchan, a French retail giant founded in 1961, boasts a vast network of 2,321 hypermarkets and supermarkets, along with 278 franchise stores in over 17 countries.

This extensive reach provides a robust platform for introducing Uzbek products to a diverse and widespread consumer base. The collaboration signifies a significant step forward in enhancing trade relations and opening new avenues for Uzbekistan’s products in international markets.
