Retail Tech Tidbits: Venmo Exits Amazon, Carter's Speeds Up Deliveries Starting January 10, Amazon will no longer offer Venmo as a direct payment option on its platform, just over a year after introducing the service. Although customers can still use their Venmo debit or credit cards for Amazon purchases, the platform will no longer allow the addition of Venmo as a payment option. The initial launch in October 2022 aimed to provide customers with convenient and user-friendly payment choices. Venmo's parent company, PayPal, had struck a deal with Amazon in 2021 to enable Venmo payments on the platform.
