European retailers target mid-America
European clothing stores like Zara, Primark and Mango are opening up more shops in the middle of the USA, like states like Utah, Colorado and Tennessee. This is because more people are moving there compared to the coasts.
These stores used to open on the East Coast and California mostly, but now they're going more central because more people are living there who want to buy their clothes. Texas, Utah, Colorado, and Georgia are some of the fastest-growing states in the USA.
For example, Zara opened new stores in San Antonio, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They also opened stores in Nashville, Denver and Murray, Utah in the past few years. The population of Nashville grew 24% in 10 years and Denver's population grew 13%.
