In a significant boost to the textile and apparel industry in Sri Lanka, the latest edition of the CEMS-Global USA’s Textile Series of Exhibitions has made a grand entrance in Colombo, marking a pivotal moment for local and international stakeholders in the textile sector.

The trio of expos, comprising the 11th Textech Sri Lanka 2024 International Expo on Textile, Garment Technology, and Machinery; the 13th Colombo International Yarn & Fabric Show 2024, and the 43rd Dye+Chem Sri Lanka 2024 International Expo, was inaugurated yesterday at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre, with Investment Promotion State Minister Dilum Amunagama gracing the event as the Chief Guest.

Spanning several days until 2 March, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., these exhibitions are not just trade shows but a vibrant platform for collaboration, innovation, and networking among professionals from across the globe. They are designed to display the latest advancements in textile, garment technology, machinery, yarns, fabrics, trims, accessories, dyestuffs, and specialty chemicals, offering a comprehensive view of the current state and future directions of the global and Sri Lankan textile and apparel industries.

The Textech Sri Lanka 2024 focuses on introducing cutting-edge technologies and machinery that can drive efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production quality in garment manufacturing. This segment of the expo is crucial for local manufacturers looking to upgrade their operations and compete on a global scale.

The Colombo International Yarn & Fabric Show 2024 serves as a marketplace for international and local suppliers and buyers of yarns, fabrics, trims, and accessories. This show is an excellent opportunity for designers, manufacturers, and retailers to source the latest materials and trends in the textile industry.
