Dubai Police’s Heartwarming ‘Winter Clothing’ Drive Warms 350 Workers
Dubai Police recently demonstrated their compassionate side by launching the ‘Winter Clothing’ initiative, benefitting 350 laborers residing in Jebel Ali’s accommodations.
The initiative, a part of the Positive Spirit Initiative, saw collaboration between the General Department of Human Rights, Jebel Ali Police Station, Safety Ambassadors, the ‘Thanks for your Giving’ team, and the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corp.

The event, attended by various dignitaries, aimed not only to provide warmth in the winter months but also to instill values of tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue in the community. Fatima Bouhjar, coordinator of the Positive Spirit Initiative, highlighted the importance of fostering respect and acceptance while rejecting any forms of negativity.
In addition to distributing winter clothing, the event featured educational sessions on workers’ rights, conducted by the General Department of Human Rights. The laborers also enjoyed raffles, prizes, and engaging activities, making the initiative a holistic and heartening community effort.
